Hi, I have been running BOINC for a couple of months now, but recently I have started getting the following line in red whenever BOINC starts up after a reboot... 04/02/2006 23:38:43||Invalid account filename: account_boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta.xml.bak I have not changed anything in the BOINC folder, as I crunch for multiple projects and think that it is best to just leave BOINC to do its thing. Is that message something I should do something about or shall I ignore it? A fuller list of startup messages are as follows:- 04/02/2006 23:38:43||Starting BOINC client version 5.2.13 for windows_intelx86 04/02/2006 23:38:43||libcurl/7.14.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8 zlib/1.2.3 04/02/2006 23:38:43||Executing as a daemon 04/02/2006 23:38:43||Data directory: D:Program FilesBOINC 04/02/2006 23:38:43||BOINC is running as a service and as a non-system user. 04/02/2006 23:38:43||No application graphics will be available. 04/02/2006 23:38:43||Invalid account filename: account_boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta.xml.bak 04/02/2006 23:38:48||Processor: 1 AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ 04/02/2006 23:38:48||Memory: 639.48 MB physical, 1.53 GB virtual 04/02/2006 23:38:48||Disk: 21.05 GB total, 8.93 GB free Then it lists the projects and gets going. I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 with multiple users on one pc. Any help or comments would be welcome. Mark L. |

Would you contact me by e-mail? I would like a little more information that will just clutter up the forum and I don't like to make some of this public. But, if you are willing, I will look into this question ... and what we find will be Wiki-ied ... p.d.buck@comcast.net If possible, in that e-mail, zip up the *.txt and *.old files in the BOINC directory and include those too ... may be a clue in the history for me ... The other thing I would like is a directory listing of the BOINC directory. Later I may need the client state file (though I will tell you how to remove the account information before I ask for that). Never have seen this ... |

Would you contact me by e-mail? I would like a little more information that will just clutter up the forum and I don't like to make some of this public. I have only seen it once. It turned out to be a corrupt file. I repaired the disk, but still had to detach and reattach the project to fix it. Your Milage May Vary Regards Phil We Must look for intelligent life on other planets as, it is becoming increasingly apparent we will not find any on our own. |
