Can anyone tell me what this means? I received the following message in the last 13 WUs reporting as invalid due to "Client Error:" ***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION**** Reason: Unknown exception (0xe06d7363) at address 0x7C81EB33 Each of the WUs appeared to have completed successfully, and on my end appeared to have processed without incident. My preferences are set for Rosetta to remain in memory, and I have experienced no problems with the other projects I am running (SETI, Einstein & Climate Prediction.) Does anyone have a clue, suggestion or postulation? Thanks Gravity is just a scientific theory. We should also teach the religious view that God is pushing us down. |

Is that machine able to run Super Pi for a while without getting an error? |

The only projects I have are SETI, Einstein and Climate. What's Super Pi? Super Pi isn't part of BOINC. It's a simple program you can download that calculates Pi to lots of digits. It has good internal checks, and gives an error if there is a problem with the calculations. Overclockers often use it to see if their system is really stable. Another program I sometimes use is memtest86. However, it requires that a special boot disk be prepared, and the system will be doing nothing but the memory test while booted to that disk. It does check the entire memory, including the area where the OS normally is. I suspect that Rosetta may be more sensitive than most projects to subtle errors in the calculations. |

Running Memtest86 helps prove the ram is all working fine (and has helped prove why some of my client's machines were having bizarre errors). And by eliminating one possibility of problem hardware (overheating cpu, and HD corruption require other tests.) should help the project staff point to the remaining possible causes of the error. |
