How do I remove a computer from my list on the website?

There is no way to delete a computer from your list. If however it is actually a second version of one of your existing machines (a so called "ghost" computer) you can merge the two identical machines into one. They must however be IDENTICAL in every respect including hardware and software. Go to your computer list and select one of the twwo identical machines and click on merge this computer, then pick the ghost computer and the system will merge them.

Normally once all tasks have been removed from the host record there will be a delete link right next to the merge link. This may be different at this project.

I was merging duplicate computers when this popped up.... Any idea what's up with that?

Please remove my computer for now. The fan keeps running and I'm afraid the machine will burn out. I tried aborting the task, but it won't.

Sharon to stop running Rosetta, you do this from your computer. I'm going to point you to a description of how to do that in the BOINC Wiki. If you have further questions on it, you should post a new question about it, rather then posting to an old one like this.

...and by the way, the fan running is normal. Because Rosetta is using the CPU all the time, it produces more heat than when just sitting idle and so the fan runs faster to keep the machine running at the right temp. In an upcoming release of the BOINC software, they're setting it up so that you can configure a % of time that you wish your machine to run. That way you can run at like 75% instead of 100% and that helps things run cooler and let's the fan slow a bit, so it's quieter.
