Look at their link above and I think you'll find a wonderful, simplistic, and very well marketed 'how to' install and why guide for dummies. They picked up 3k hosts in the past 24 hours(from just 15k) according to boincstats.com Incorporating some of their features in all of the BOINC home pages would help add new users. It's a highly inviting approach they are using on their page. There's even a short streaming movie people can view explaining the basics. I'm not sure how viable this option is in regard to bandwith but I'd like to see it looked into.... Would appreciate some feedback from the project developers. It is hard coded to run only that project. To run additional project you must go to another site and download the standard BOINC client. Think about the 'customer'. Just make an introductory home page that is 'idiot friendly'. Face it, most users hear of a project like this and think...'ok...I'll go to the website'. If it is too complicated they then think 'why bother'. Make the homepage simpler with 1,2,3 instructions like the BBC site did and watch your hosts grow through the roof. It's easy at this point .
