Boinc output is directed to a file named messages, I can provide this file if needed.

When running rosetta under WindowsXP, I had none of these probs, and reading these forums, I see Linux/UNIX clients are have nothing but trouble, sounding like the code is not to sound. Ralph units, and others, are running fine, just the Rosetta units are rife with errors it is looking like. I can, if so necessary, boot XP up into a VMWare window and run the Boinc software from there, but I am not wanting to place that much overhead on this machine, just to crunch a Rosetta unit when all other projects are doing fine under Linux. Looking at the Boinc Wiki, error 131 is dealing with file size to large or disk space exceeded????, if I'm not mistaken. What is going on to fix this under the Linux/Unix clients?

Would you mind passing your error logs along to us, along w/ your WU # and machine #. It would be a help to us. Thanks

Yes, your error logs would be helpful.. It's likely that some of the SELINUX protections are preventing communications between these processes. You might try a :: fixfiles relabel (Don't remove /tmp/ files when it asks)...

on your system and see if that helps...

you should also read the man pages on the command :: setsebool

There are a couple of dozen boolean based protections in the directory:: /selinux/booleans

You might try setting some of these on and off to see if your errors relax a bit. You might also try turning the SELINUX protections off... :: echo "0" > /selinux/enforce will do this... don't forget to set it back to "1" after you are done experimenting..

Hope this helps...
