Hi

I have a number of computers that were setup again or are dual boot but share the same name. I like to merge these but this site doesn't let me.

How do I manually merge computers?
(Or wny aren't computers merged by mac address instead of name)

You can NOT merge computes that are different Operating Systems (Example: Windows / Linux) EVEN if they are DUAL/MULTI BOOT.
Different Executable(s) and possibly different formatted data input/output files,

We need website functionality that allows manually and forcibly merge computers. In my case BOINC client did not identify CPU correctly at first and now I have two records of the same computer that I cannot merge. When I try to do so website claims that these records represent "different" computers while I know for the fact they refer to the same one.

All your computers report as "hidden". Your problems has been solved (JOKE)

You could have at least posted links to the computers in question.

I was not aware that it would be helpful. Here:

https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=4238500

See under CPU Type. That is the reason website refuses to combine them.

Yes, I tried to make Domain names identical. Does not help.

I am hoping that is enough info for someone from the project to look into your computers. They may be able to populate the missing CPU info and allow you to merge them. I don't know what other info is tied to each computer on the back end that allow or doesn't allow merging.
