Hello. I am using my personal PC to work from home. I want to separate work from personal stuff, so I create a new Windows 10 partition. Partition 1: personal stuff (ie. games, steams, ..., login from 7PM to overnight). Partition 2: work (ie. login 9-5) Now if rosetta@home downloads WU on my work partition, it will not download any more WU to my personal partition. How do I go about getting rosetta@home or BOINC to recognize these separate partitions as two different PC? |

One simple way would be to enroll with a different BOINC user between the two. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

I didn't think to mention that the project has been out of work for a few hours, so that may be the actual reason, just timing on when the two asked for work. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

How do I go about getting rosetta@home or BOINC to recognize these separate partitions as two different PC?Install BOINC on one Partition (already done). Boot from the other partition & install BOINC on it, making sure it is being installed to that partition, attach to Rosetta. Set each to run on boot. End result should be 2 instances of BOINC, with only 1 running at any given time, each having it's own Computer ID and data to process. Grant Darwin NT |
