Any other Mac guys out there? My system is showing computation errors on every WU sent. Whats up? I've noticed this with one of our computers. I'll look into it. I would suspend the work until we get a fix. |

Any other Mac guys out there? My system is showing computation errors on every WU sent. Whats up? Yea I already stopped it sorry about the 20 or so bad results. The computer is a little faster than I am. Let me know when I can turn it on again. Regards, and Thanks Phil We Must look for intelligent life on other planets as, it is becoming increasingly apparent we will not find any on our own. |

I've only just attached to Rosetta today. My Windows client is going fine, but my MacOS client isn't faring so well. So far it shows two WU's downloaded, one of which is in progress. The one in progress reports its had 06:58:36 CPU time so far, despite the fact that I only attached to the project about three hours ago. It's sitting on 0.00% progress with no time remaining shown. The second WU is 'ready to run', but I'm assuming it will suffer the same fate. I've set the project to "No new work" so I don't waste any more WUs. |

I've only just attached to Rosetta today. My Windows client is going fine, but my MacOS client isn't faring so well. What version of the operating system are you running? I looked at the user lists and ALL of the successful Mac seem to be running 10.4.x. My machine errored out on every WU it saw in a matter of seconds, It claimed some credit on a few (one WU says it had 6000+ CPU time). My system is running 10.3.9, which according to the Project is ok. The only other thing that I can see that might be an issue is the BOINC version, but none of my other projects has any trouble. I hope they find an answer soon, I would like to work this project. And they state you have to run MAC OS min 10.3 something, Well my OS 10.3.9 certainly fits the posted project requirements. I might try backing everything up and installing BOINC again later today and see if that fixex it, but I am begining to suspect that I am getting the wrong type of WU or that the system does not work and play well with others. Sorry about the misinformation, I will change the system requirement to 10.4.* until we fix this problem. |

Sorry about the misinformation, Do you plan to put out a compile for OS 10.3.x? That would be a very nice way to fix the problem if that is what is wrong. While that is what I suspect from poking around your website, it is only a suspicion.
