Hi Forum So i ran Boinc on my Computer, but i had a problem with the computer und a can't install Boinc anymore so i worked around and set up a VM und this Computer, now iwant to merge these two but i can't since the VM only has two cores and the Hostsytem that Boinc an on has 4 but i can't assigne all 4 Cores to the VM. Is there a Workaround since on other projects i could merge the VM and die real Computer. Thanks to answers in advanced P.S. sorry for bad Grammatik since English is my second language. |

Hi Forum I don’t think that the number of core alone makes the computers incompatible, I rebuilt my FX-4 as an FX-8 and it quite happily merged those. Have you tried making sure that the vm has the same domain name as the original computer and the doing a merge by name? On the other hand, what happens when you try to install Boinc on the original computer - would it be easier to try to resolve that problem? |

Ok thanks, but the are the same Processor i just can't assigned all 4 Cores to the VM. The VM is running on the same PC |

No I can't because it says that an older Version is installed which it's not so i moved to an VM as an Backup.(It was on there but due to an Problem I removed it) |
