After the call for more processing time, I decided to put Rosetta on an old machine which is normally used just for Seti.
Note that the machine operates under Win 95, and consequently will not operate a Boinc Manager later than 4.19.
I keep getting the following error when Rosetta runs:
Unrecoverable error for result HOMOLOG_ABRELAX_hom003_t283__505_888_0
CreateProcess() failed - A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x1f)
Computation for result HOMOLOG_ABRELAX_hom003_t283__505_888 finished
I have tested LHC, Predictor and Seti, and they run with no problem.
I presume there is nothing I can do to make Rosetta work?

There was a discussion about getting Boinc to run on Win95, some smart people were discussing it on the Seti test project (beta) message boards, but I've not found it. Beta number crunching forum. You can search there, but my memory says you need winsock2 on it, and possibly some other files you might be able just to copy and paste. Good luck looking for it. It's not labelled "win95" and might be part of a different discussion. If I find it in my travels I'll post back.

I don't kow if the Rosetta application will work with it, or what the absolute min Ram is for Rosetta.

Thanks, that's a start. I will investigate.
I think I did upgrade to Winsock 2, trying to keep up to date, so it may be something else.
