This host was recently added without checking system requirements (it has been detached from the project). I didn't realize that WIN95 wasn't supported - both gave the following in the message tab: 05/26/2006 9:33:34 AM|rosetta@home|Process creation failed: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x1f) My concern is that 2 WUs (both T296_CASP7) were lost. If possible, please reissue ASAP so as to not delay the CASP7 work. Sincerest appologies for this error !!Stupidity should be PAINFUL!! |

...My concern is that 2 WUs (both T296_CASP7) were lost. With Rosetta this is not really a problem. Unlike other projects all work units are identical if they have the same name. The only difference is the random number provided as the starting point for processing. If your system claimed any credits for these it will be awarded in the nightly credit awards for failed work units. Moderator9 ROSETTA@home FAQ Moderator Contact |

...My concern is that 2 WUs (both T296_CASP7) were lost. No credit was claimed, both WUs still show in progress with a report date of 02-JUN (not returned). Was more concerned with messing up the science than getting credits - after all, it's really all about the science. !!Stupidity should be PAINFUL!! |
