Will the merge function ever be back again?

I know from experience that merging database entries can be a pita, so I have full understanding of it being disabled. I only wonder if it will be ever back again. It was said that it will be enabled in one of the next updates again, but now we had quite a lot of Rosetta updates and even a boinc update and the merge function is still disabled. I know its not that important for the project, but its quite important for subteams like our team. Its not that funny if you want to have a subteam competion of the best producer when you get different IDs al of a sudden and start with zero points again :/ Are there any plans to get the merge function working again or will we have to wait until CASP is over? Again, I am not complaining and I am sorry if it has been asked several times before. I couldnt find much about it, because I dont have that much tiem to search.
