I have a AMD 64 dual core 3800 CPU running Linux from a CD (Knoppix) with 512 meg RAM, on a diskless box using a networked hard drive for work unit storage. I run Rosetta, Simap, Predictor, QMC, BBC, all with max cpus set to 2. I find that all these BOINC programs quite happily run together (i.e. use both cpus) except Rosetta - If Rosetta gets scheduled with any of the other BOINC programs it just idles while the other runs. Known issue or am I doing something wrong ? cheers Rod in Sydney |

It may be worth checking in your account the part that says "View or edit general preferences" To see if it is set to use only 1 CPU ? If so you can change this. [Edit]Ignore the above. I just read again what you said. Oops! sorry. :-)[/Edit] |
