Hey all, I'm new to the project. Someone suggested posting technical question in this forum because the question will likely to be seen by more people and answered more quickly. I'm running BOINC on my Gentoo Linux box. I've installed it and setup an account and received my key. My Gentoo box is also my web serv so I have to ssh into it to remote admin. I've installed BOINC in /etc/BOINC. I'm try to admin BOINC in command line mode. When I try and run any commands... # /etc/BOINC/boinc_cmd --get_state connect: Connection refused can't connect to local host I get the above error. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. RESOLVED!! Apparently I had to add a project first. # /etc/BOINC/boinc -attach_project https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta <key> Now when I run.. # /etc/BOINC/boinc_cmd --get_state It returns the proper results. Boy what head-ache that caused. Hope this helps someone else. Thank You, AlexanderGM http://www.alexandergm.com |
