Again I got bored and decided to upgrade my linux box to 64 bit. I then decided to build an optimized 5.4.11 64 bit boinc client that should run on AMD64 or Intel64 machines. Also because very few projects have linux x86-64 binaries I enabled the client to run 32 bit linux science apps by default (no messing with xml files). This does require that the 32 bit standard linux libraries in addition to the 64 bits ones are installed. The advantage is that the client runs native 64 bit and the science apps also run native 32 bit this way. The client upgrade can be downloaded at http://boese.dnsalias.com:6969 . |

Why did someone give a negative for someone at last implementing a useful 64bit client that will grab 32bit apps with no mess. Team mauisun.org |

i think one of the guys on my team might find this useful - he had a nightmare trying to get the 32-bit app with a 64-bit client. |

It appears to now be positive again, as this is good for the project. |
