this is the first time i have tried this program.

I was not granted credit & am asking if it worth wasting any more time doing more tasks.

is someone able to look at the result or advise on how to resend the result or fix things up to stop it happening in the future or advise on the cause of the problem?

thanks

I do notice that you're not using a release version of BOINC. The release version is 5.4.11. You are using 5.7.2. The projects really aren't responsible if errors occur because someone is using a non-release client.

Uninstalling your version of BOINC and installing the current public release (on the homepage) might work. I hope it does. If it doesn't we'll brainstorm about other causes.

As the BOINC screen saver was active during the completion and upload of the WU, I tried setting the screen saver to none in windows. Then I suspended and resumed the next WU as the cpu clock had stopped, the next WU completed successfully a few hours later.

I will see how it goes.

5.7.2 actually seems to be working fine and it's mainly yhr Simple GUI that is being tested at the moment. I have it running on all my local computers.
It is also an official 'test' version and sits there on the standard download page saying so.

Ignore the -161 errors they are currently testing fixes to this on Ralph@Home (rosetta@home's test project http://ralph.bakerlab.org ) It is a Rosetta@home problem afawk.

These things happen and is part of runnint Rosetta@Home we are not just running direct AIDS/Alzhiemers/... test but also testing the software itself, unfortunaly some bugs have recently crept in.

I concur with FC. 5.7.2 seems to run well on all mine. The BSG (boinc simple gui) needs some adjustments AFAIC.
