Hello Everyone, I am running the latest version of BOINC on a Pentium 4, 3.0ghz dual core. I am runnibg Win XP Media Center Edition. I am unable to display any graphics on this computer. Other computers that I am running have no problem. The other systems are not dual-core, and are not XP. When I manually attempt to run the graphics, sometimes the screen just goes blank, or else I will see the graphics for about 1 second, and then the screen goes blank. In screensaver mode the graphics act about the same way. Usually, however, when the screensaver kicks in the screen just goes blank. This is very frustrating! I am guessing that it is related to the dual-core, however, even when I suspend anything else that is running, I still cannot display the graphics. I have this graphics problem whether running BOINC dual-core, or whether running as a single core. I am at a loss and am wide open to suggestions. Thanks ____________ Ray Ray |

I'm guessing here... but based on reports from other projects, you have an ATI video card; sometimes downloading the newest set of drivers will solve this. |

I see problem in rotating view of proteins. 1) Views not synchronized. When work algorithm, witch evaluate RMSD finding rotation matrix and translation vector which can used for rotate all structures on the screen to one point of view. 2) Center of rotation not is center of gravity of protein. 3) Rotation "not right". It is makes around of model axis, but usualy more comfortable rotating around scene axis (like we move by mouse nearest screen plane, and under it rolling protein ball:-) |
