On the site I have seen support for Windows, Linux, MacOSX10. I know that the source-code for BOINC is freely downloadable, so you can compile it on 'every' OS you'd like.

But what with the rosetta-client?
For which OS is there support?
Also for *BSD, Sparc, ...?

According to https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/apps.php Rosetta is available for Linux/x86, Windows/x86 and Mac OS X

AFAIK the source code is not available for compiling elsewhere (unlike with SETI).

Another thing ;)

To choose what to install on a Dual Itanium 1 Processor (2 x 800 Mhz) machine:
* If you install Windows2003server 64bit on it, will Rosetta run on it? (i.e. Is there a 64 bit windows client for Rosetta?)
* If not, maybe wth linux? If you install Linux 64 bit, is there a linux64 (rosetta) client available?

32 bit applications will run on 64 bit OS's as far as I have seen in the posts here. There are not enough benefits or enough computers running 64bit to make it worthwhile to write the code as of yet. But if you search through the threads 64bit has been talked about and the concensus was not much to gain by 64bit code right now.
