WU 1cfyA abrelax12236 got an 'unrecoverable error' just as Benchmarks started to run although memory is set to YES. Rosetta is the only project currently running. See that 1 sec before Benchmark started to run that WU was removed from memory. So unfair as the WU was almost completed (past 91%). |

Original posters problem is verified by my machine tonight. When Benchmarks run (automatically every 5 days I believe), you will lose your Rosetta WU if it happens to be running at the time. Fortunately, mine was only 40 mins. into its crunching. Log below. With the currently released BOINC core client (4.45), even if you have leave in memory set to yes, when benchmarks are run it will dump the results from memory for the benchmarks. I thought I read somewhere that this is corrected in the upcoming core client version. I know I have had trouble whenever I paused or shut down boinc during a work unit. Is this coming up in a future fix? I am running 2.26GHz P4 with xp and boinc v4.45. Oh and where can i download the latest version? What do you think of it? What new features are there? Why is it not on the official site yet?? |

I know I have had trouble whenever I paused or shut down boinc during a work unit. Is this coming up in a future fix? I am running 2.26GHz P4 with xp and boinc v4.45. The new CC is the Version 5.2.2 for Win. But it has still the status of a development-version so there might be errors. If you want to download it go to the BOINC-download-page. Don't forget there might be still some errors!!! BTW I had the same problem with a WU too. I set my computer to the suspend-mode and after restarting the WU crashed. |
