We'd like to thank everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to this project, and would like to remind everyone that there may be periods of down time while we are preparing for future large scale batches of jobs and analyzing results. We greatly appreciate your contributions which are vitally important to our ongoing research. Thank you! |

As long as you guys have tasks (and as long as my computers don't die), I plan on crunching on! |

Thanks for the update. In the future it would be nice to get such news as the downtime approaches, or once it has arrived, rather than after it's over. Grant Darwin NT |

Nope, there isn't - at least that I have found. Reset Rosetta on 4 machines, none got new work. |

I just received work. No idea why you aren't getting work. Edit: I see 2 of your computers have several tasks available, the i5-4590T and the i7-6700. |

I'm just glad the whole project hasn't been mothballed, as some people suggested... |

It would be very useful to warn about breaks with some details including how long a break can take. Then it is better to plan use computing power for other projects. Better communication also shows respect to people who spend own time and money to help you. |

That might cheer up the moaners in here (you know who you are - about half the people posting to this thread). It does not matter if they run out of work. You won't starve to death, it's not your income, your bread and water for the day. Attach to another project and do what is available. We are doing science for them, they are not providing a game for us to play. |

Agreed, but I've spent several hours now trying to figure out why 3 out of my 4 computers have no work units while the 4th one has 4 days of work stacked up. Maybe a dynamic status board that tells us there are no tasks to be handed out. |

While you are waiting now is a good time to update your BOINC version if back aways. Bill F In October 1969 I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; There was no expiration date. |

The home page tells you the whole queue, and the server status page tells you how many are in the buffer ready to send. Most projects don't have the former. If your computers aren't getting work, simply check the webpage, or look in the messages tab to see what the server response was. Although I do think the server status on all projects could update every 10 minutes instead of every 2 hours. |
