I know...RAH does not use GPU, but I am trying to figure out after installing a m.2 drive and transferring data to there and reinstalling all my projects and leaving the program on C: why I am getting this: 1/23/2022 5:37:15 PM | | GPU detection failed: process exited with status 0x1: Incorrect function. (0x1) 1/23/2022 5:37:15 PM | | No usable GPUs found FAH uses them just fine. I uninstalled the GPU drivers via windows and checked again after windows brought them (2 x GPU) back into device manager. So drivers are ok. I have unistalled and reinstalled BOINC several times, still the same message. GPU units were not disturbed via installation of the new drive. Before the M.2 was installed, everything worked fine. Now its all messed up. |

May be of help, otherwise the project that requires the GPU or the BOINC forums. Did all the steps in that post. No change. One thing of interest, I can not update the firmware on the drive. Software, yes. Even though Samsung Magician says there is a firmare update available and tries to install it, it fails. I checked my SATA ports, they are all in use. So I can't install the drive down under the GPU's near the SATA ports. So I am stuck in PCIE location. The HDD is a terrabyte and barely full, so I can go that way. First I have to clear out the existing work 1 full day plus 1 day extra So tomorrow night I can uninstall BOINC and take the M.2 drive out and see what happens. I wonder if I have a defective drive or if somehow the M.2 PCIE location interferes with the GPU function somehow. Is this something for the BOINC forum? |
