Message 108037 - Posted: 15 Feb 2023, 2:16:49 UTC

I have finished off my last WCG badge unless Help Stop TB sends out work. I set up my final desktop (one of five) to crunch Rosetta. When this last spurt of work It got some tasks but they just will not download. Even if I attempt to force transfer by Retry. The down load does not happen and the planned download attempt time gets extended. The large initial 420 MB file is in the queue with additional files for 4 work units. I have reset the project and waited for new work and I got the same thing. My other computers are crunching and have a backlog of work I collected during the past two spurts. Any help would be appreciated.

Would that be the i3 with the BOINC Manager version 7.16.11?
Upgrade to the current version and things might start working again.

There's an issue with the servers security certificates, but as the project it pretty much dead, nothing has been done about it since it became a problem over 2 months ago.

Yes it is ... I will upgrade... At first I thought you were a magician knowing that!!! Then I did some clicking and say that info was available. My oldest reconditioned computers still running. Many thanks.

I tried updating the sw but BOINC Manager version 7.16.11 was the version available. Must be an I3 restriction. Dinosaur may have to relegated to crunching Mapping Cancer Markers.

It's not a matter of updating- you need to go to the BOINC page and download it yourself, then install it to update the existing installation (no point getting the VirtualBox version for the i3).

All BOINC versions https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

Thanks . I was able to download from your link. I was using the WCG download. Now I just need to get some WU during next Rosetta spurt. All my other machines have several days of work.
