Boinc isn't responding. It opens the window and says "connecting to localhost" on the status line, and after two minutes, nothing has happened. I have to close it using Windows Task Manager. This is on Rosetta ver 5.25, an HP laptop, and Windows XP Media Center 2004. Thanks, Karl Loucks |

Karl, I'm not sure what to look for here. Have you changed anything? Like running with BOINCView? Or using BAM? Have you rebooted the PC (I mean completely powered down) since this became a problem? If you still have a problem, I'd suggest you put a post on the Crunching message board, as the Q&A boards aren't viewed much. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |

BOINC is running OK now. A couple days ago, I had downloaded the latest Microsoft security patches for XP and Office 2003. Maybe that had something to do with it. |
