Not sure on that one. You might try going here and clicking the Windows version of the 5.25 (clear down at the bottom), and saving it directly to your computer's /program files/BOINC/projects/boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta directory.

The problem starts where it says Incomplete read of less than 5KB for rosetta_5.25_windows_intelx86.exe - truncating, an incomplete file cannot match the checksum.

Sounds like an ISP line problem (might be HD full too though).

Are there any other problems loading web pages from the Rosetta server, like incomplete images, broken pages or so?

Another possible reason would be that a virus scanner kicks in while the download is running. The way BOINC opens files does not allow read access by other programs while BOINC has planned to write to those files.

Disallowing the virus scanner to check the BOINC directory with all its subdirectories might help in this case.

Thanks for the reply, I agree that it sounds like the uploads are not completing. I do not think it is an ISP problem since the other two projects (Einstin and SETI) still work. I also do not think it is a full HD since there is plenty of room. I do not get any other problems, no broken pages or incomplete images. I have tried diabling the auto part of the virus scanner, and it did not sea, to make a difference. Any other ideas?

I think you have solved my problem... but I think I might need some more help. In looking at my rosetta projects directory I see a lot of .gz files and the rosetta_5.25_windows_intelx85.exe file. The problem, I believe, is that this .exe file is 0 kb! That doesn't not look right to me. My new problem is that here at work, we have a policy that forbids direct download of .exe files. Is there a place I can download a .zip version? Or can I get someone to email it to me? (curryfamily1 at yahoo.com) Also, would it help to delete all the .gz files? or should they stay? Thanks for your help! I will also unhide this computer....

okay, I have figured out a way to get a copy of the .exe file, and copied it into the rosetta directory. Since I can only have 2 transfers a day, I had to wait 24 hours to try it. This morning, it still did not work, AND it made the rosetta_5.25.exe file 0kb again! i am now going to try and delete all the other files (well, move acutally) and just have the rosetta_5.25_windoes_intelx86.exe file as the only file in the boinc.bakerlab.orb_rosetta directory... now i'll have to wait another 24 hours to see if that worked... Also, I notice in the log that it appears the server thinks the .exe file is short a few bytes, and tries to upload it, and fails?... perhaps that is why it becomes 0KB??? using the properties tab, my .exe file is 7,245,824 bytes, can someone confirm that this is the correct size? thanks for any help
