I'm running WinXP-64bit on a dualcore Athlon64. I saw a new rosetta version in boinc manager today and decided to have a look at the graphics to see whether there is anything new to look at. To my big surprise the graphics looks very odd. The different parts of the rendered model does not connect with eachother. Have a look at these screenshots: http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/1.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/2.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/3.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/4.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/5.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/6.jpg http://mirror.circlestorm.org/rosetta/7.jpg Is this normal? Since it's a beta version I thought I'd better report it just in case. |

Seems like it was wrong, the workunit failed and got a "Compute Error". |

The broken chain is normal. It is part of the search to start with the pieces that are believed to be known and then see how they might fit together. So the compute error must be another issue. Please report it in the Number Crunching forum thread for problems with 5.70. The word "beta" in this 5.70 version of Rosetta is an oversight, it was tested on Ralph and is production level code. They will be changing the name in future version changes to remove the word beta. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Thank you for clarifying it. I have posted it in the 5.70 problems thread. |
