I'm sure this has been addressed numerous times but I've double checked all settings and communication deferred for 3 - 4 minutes 4 or 5 times and now it's deferred for 14 minutes still with out tasks. I just reimaged the machine, reinstalled the BOINC software, connected to the project now nothing. I've changed the settings to connect every .5 days and cache 2 days then I updated and waited. Still nothing. Any idea why this happens and it will not download tasks??

Take a look at the Server Status Page. At this moment I'm reading:
Ready to send: 6 & rah_make_work2 srv4 Not running
It looks like there are some problems at Rosetta@home to produce (enough) Wu's.

Right now I'm reading Ready to send: 535
Lets hope the problems will be solved soon.

Thanks for the reply. I like to make sure I have enough tasks to crunch before the weekend in case something goes down (hopefully not the electricity in the building) I have enough data to keep the PCs busy.

same problem - no new tasks (for 3 days) and the servers are all up.

Does your message log indicate that your machine is requesting new work when it contacts Rosetta?? The BOINC Manager may believe the next period of time should be spent on other projects you are attached to, or if there are already other tasks running at "high priority" (BOINC's priority, not the machine's) then it may not request more work because it already feels it is behind.
