There's a new article by Dr. Baker and co-authors at Nature magazine: Rational design of α-helical tandem repeat proteins with closed architectures |

That's awesome. Did that work use R@H calculations or was it done in-house? Also, will that paper appear here at some point?: http://www.bakerlab.org/biblio/ D |

That's awesome. Did that work use R@H calculations or was it done in-house? TJ had a bunch of jobs running here on BOINC for this project. We use structure prediction tools to validate the designs which is all done here at Rosetta@home! |

Yes-Rosetta@home was essential for the design of novel proteins described in the Nature paper "Exploring the repeat protein universe using computational protein design". You can get the PDF from our website as usual. We wrote the beginning and end of the paper to be accessible to a broad audience so please do take a look! Thank you again for critical contributions to this project and all of the current work in the group! |

congrats for the publication, & cheers to researchers / scientists for all that effort & the volunteer distributed computing involved :D this is *really* science true to the human effort all of it, it is great that r@h advances the frontier of science by making it happen :) |
