The first WU I tried a while back did not finish. I started again because I heard that the application was more stable. The first WU to finish with this new stable version errored. I have no problem with any of the other projects. I know this is Beta so this is not a winge but a bug report.

I am using the new version of the application 4.77. The error seems to be in BOINC ???

I have detached all my PC's till the project is more stable. I have been involved in a lot of Beta's, others can do the hard work this time.

did you try :
Leave applications in memory while preempted? yes

the problem is that perhaps you lost the wu when you switch to an other project, if no the wiki can help

I do not think that I have to but here goes...

I have the same problem as Dingo.

It seems that it works if the application is left in memory but I can not do that.
If I do that also all the other projects will be left in memory.
Only Rosetta alone use about 150 - 200 MB and that is far to much to leave in memory 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I just noticed one thing: Rosetta has been 'Preemted' but is stil in memory after it should have been removed from memory.

I gues that is why it can restart later.
It use to pause and restart a couple of times before it breaks down.
So far I have seen that about 80% have been done before the crach ocure.

Got also my first "Unhandled Exception error" under SP2 with Boinc 4.72 but nothing was logged so I cant tell you what error came, restart Boinc and all works fine again. WUs restart at the last checkpoint without an error.

BOINC 4.72? Where do you get that? The newest I see is 4.45.

here's a list with a lot of optional downloads. Mind 4.72 and all of the 5.1.x versions are development versions. They may not run stable on your system!

Don't use 5.1.x on Rosetta anyway. You will not be able to download any work, since the server software of the Rosetta project hasn't been upgraded yet.
